As per my experience, Coupon sites is the best way to generate free traffic for your business, even your business is ecommerce, affiliate marketing or dropshipping, It works for all types of businesses. Most of the top brands also use this strategy. They publish there coupons on most popular coupon sites.
I also heard from someone that coupon websites can be a good way to secure additional SEO backlinks and, eventually, more traffic. According to my well-known search expert, acquiring backlinks from websites with high Page Ranks is crucial for improving organic search traffic. Coupon sites are considered a valuable source of high-quality backlinks. Moreover, these sites attract millions of users searching for deals and offers.
Considering my eagerness to promote my personalised dropshipping stores and affiliate products, I decided to try it.
Over the past week, I've explored numerous websites with varying degrees of quality, and it seems that, perhaps, coupon sites did contribute to SEO back in 2003. However, I have serious doubts about their effectiveness in the present day.
While it's true that featuring promo codes for your online store on various coupon search websites can increase exposure and attract more users to try your offers, it's not easy to get listed on influential sites that truly matter!

What’s a small business to do to get coupon listings?
OPTION 1: JOIN AN AFFILIATE NETWORK.
Many of the well-known coupon sites, such as RetailMeNot, Savings.com, Coupons.com, Offers.com, and others, operate like an exclusive club. To secure a spot, you either need to be a major e-commerce brand (small businesses need not apply) or become part of one of the major affiliate networks, like the ones listed below:
- Impact Radius
- ShareASale
- CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction)
- Rakuten Linkshare
- Pepperjam Network
- Affiliate Window
The catch is that joining an affiliate network can be costly, and it's unclear whether it's a worthwhile investment for a small company. Moreover, there's uncertainty about whether they'll accept you into their network unless you're sufficiently large. Most of them don't disclose pricing and require you to reach out to their sales team (always a bit intimidating). ShareASale is an exception, displaying pricing on its site with a $625 sign-up fee and a minimum commitment of $35 per month. While not overly burdensome, I might consider giving it a shot. If you're aiming for high-quality backlinks, this might be your only viable option.
OPTION 2: HIRE SOMEONE TO HANDLE COUPON SUBMISSIONS FOR YOU.
During my online search, I came across a few freelancers who offer manual coupon submission services to a curated list of coupon sites, like this submit coupon on Fiverr. The prices are quite affordable, and while they may know what they're doing, it's a bit challenging to be certain. Looking back, I probably should have saved myself the week and considered this option (continue reading to find out why).
OPTION 3: DO IT YOURSELF!
Being the determined, hands-on type, I decided to tackle this task myself. And so, I spent 4-5 days tirelessly navigating the web, searching for coupon sites, and attempting to submit a Manimal Tales coupon to them. It turned out to be a rather frustrating experience. Similar to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, coupon sites seem to have an inverse hierarchy of challenges:
- Many excellent sites don't allow coupon submissions through their platforms.
- Among those that do, most have pre-filled Company Name dropboxes, and if you're not already in their database, you can't submit. (Wondering how to get in their databases? Well, you have to sign up for an Affiliate Network, naturally.)
- At this point, the remaining sites are often sketchy and of uncertain quality.
Of the few decent ones left that do accept web submissions, a significant number either didn't work or had such poor traffic that it wasn't worth the effort.
So, after all this, you're left with a very small number of seemingly decent sites that accept web submissions. However, the catch is that even for these decent ones, allowing you to submit coupons doesn't guarantee they will list them! It's entirely at their discretion, and you never know if they will or won't!
And that brings me to where I am today. I have absolutely no idea if my four days of effort will yield any results at all (which is why maybe I should just hire someone or bite the bullet and join an affiliate network). Anything to promote my personalized stores and affiliate links!
A listing of coupon sites to which you can submit your promo codes/coupon codes (2025)
OK, I know, you're just interested in finding sites that actually do the job. No worries, I've done all the hard work for you. While scouring the web, I stumbled upon various articles and lists like “105 Coupon Submission Sites,” “Top Promo Code Sites to Advertise Your Business Online for Free,” and “Top Sites to Submit Your Coupon Codes,” among many others. They seemed promising, and I diligently clicked through and tried several. The only hiccup? Most of the listed sites were either defunct or no longer accepting coupon submissions.
Ouch.
So, I took matters into my own hands and sought out sites that still allowed coupon submissions—ones that actually worked and looked decent. I thought it would be nice to share the findings. Below are the sites that I successfully got to work. I'll keep updating this periodically if I come across more (fingers crossed). Enjoy!
