And the technology is getting more streamlined and user-friendly all the time; many people are now able to function without a traditional wallet full of cards (much less cash) in favor of an app that they wave at a reader.
The use of these methods of payment only increases as the consumer gets younger, too. That's because millennials and generation z are digital natives—they've grown up expecting these options and are quick to adopt technology that helps them track and be online.
